2 Proposeed Metro


The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority plans to run a 120 kmph super fast metro train that will connect the Jewar International Airport with Delhi.

For this the authority wants a new metro rail corridor to be built from IGI airport to Knowledge Park in Noida in the first phase.

3 Microsoft Hub


“The state will roll out the red carpet for Microsoft to make it easier for the company to do business.

Microsoft has said it wants to set up its North India campus in Greater Noida and the next step will be site inspection by the team both in Greater Noida and along the Yamuna Expressway.

4 Patanjali Food Park


In year 2017, Patanjali acquired 300 acres to set up Patanjali Food and Herbal Park and another 130 acres adjacent to it for Patanjali Ayurved Limited.

While the food park will be developed under the cluster approach with participation of multiple stakeholders, the other unit will produce Patanjali products.

The units will come up in sectors 24 and 24A within 6-7km of Buddh International Circuit towards Jewar.

The bigger cluster is likely to be developed under the Union ministry of food processing industries-sponsored Mega Food Park scheme and is going to be the first such park in Uttar Pradesh.

5 Textile Park


The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority said that it is in the process of setting up a ‘textile park’ near the Jewar airport.

The Authority said that it held meetings with Noida Apparel Export Cluster (NAEC) and agreed to allot a 200-acre land to 100 textile businessmen.

The move corresponds with the UP government’s One District–One Product (OD-OP) initiative, which aims to give a boost to traditional industries, synonymous with the respective districts.

In this respect, Gautam Budh Nagar district is known for ready-made garments.

6 F1 Track ( Buddh International Circuit )


The Buddh International circuit is the best race track in India, as it should be for a Hermann Tilke-designed Formula 1 track that F1 world champions heaped praise over.

The sprawling circuit was a part of the Formula 1 circus for three years from 2011 to 2013 but was then dropped by the FIA following a tax dispute.

Skeptics of course predicted a quick demise citing reasons such as high maintenance costs but the BIC continues to thrive, F1 or not. That’s what we have gleaned from our tete-a-tete with Rajiv Murishwar, business head at the BIC. “The Buddh International Circuit is is very much in the green and it is doing fantastically well. We are running full throttle in operations, in our funding and also doing good revenues.

7 Toy City


The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has expedited work on ‘Toy Park’ to be developed on 100 acres in Sector 33, along the 165km Yamuna Expressway that connects Greater Noida with Agra. Interested parties can set up units in the park to develop all sorts of toys, and the ₹1,000 crore park has the potential to end the current monopoly of China in the toys market.

The Toy Association of India said this project will make India self-reliant in the segment.

Toy products business has an annual revenue of ₹12,000 crore in our country and a majority of the supply comes from China, owing to their cheaper rates. But Toy Park products can change the market. This project will help the consumer get the best quality products at reasonable rates.

8 Vivo ( Mobile Manufacturer )


The company had applied for land to expand its base with a plan to take its production capacity further up. They have been allotted 169 acre of land. It would invest ₹ 3,500 crore in the first phase of expansion, creating 25,000 jobs within one year. 30 per cent of the jobs would be compulsorily given to locals but the skilled and qualified locals would get opportunities beyond that also.
